How to Start Playing
Find and install the games on each of the individual game details page on Xbox.com. Clicking through will send you to the Microsoft Store, where you must be signed in to see the option to install with your Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. To download on console, click on the Subscriptions tab in the Xbox Store and enter the Gold member area to locate the Free Play Days collection on your Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The popularity of free-to-play games has skyrocketed over the past few years, with an increasing library of titles on offer for gamers to enjoy without paying a cent. Two of the titles available during this time are Them’s Fightin’ Herds and PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition.
Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a head-to-head 2D fighting game developed by Mane6 and published by Humble Games. Featuring an all-women character roster inspired by My Little Pony, this title provides fast-paced battles for gamers to wage, with each character offering their own unique play style. This free event will allow fans of fighting games the chance to experience all that Them’s Fightin’ Herds has to offer.
The second title available during this free play event is PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition, a co-operative bank robbery shooter. Developed and published by OVERKILL Software, you and up to three additional players can take on the role of a heist crew in this title. This edition of PAYDAY 2 also comes with all of the game’s downloadable content, as well as 1080p resolution visuals, enhanced enemy AI, and a bonus heist mission.
The Free Play Days event starts this Thursday and runs for 48 hours until the end of Saturday. During this time, those players who have an Xbox Live Gold subscription can download and enjoy both Them’s Fightin’ Herds and PAYDAY 2: Crimewave Edition, free of charge and with Xbox Live Achievements to be earned.
