The Witcher Season 2’s first scene has been revealed by Netflix

Netflix has been teasing elements of the upcoming second season lately, and now we’ve even got a full sneak peek at the first scene to enjoy.

Ahead of the second season of The Witcher Netflix series airing next year, Netflix has shared the first page of the Season Two script as a ‘Witchmas’ present for fans.

The scene, which you can read in this tweet, studies a merchant man, his wife, and his daughter searching for somewhere to stay in a small mountain town as Geralt brooding talks over the top.

“You dogged my every footstep. But struck down others I passed on my way. Why?” asks Henry Cavill’s Witcher.

The merchant turns – shocked – to see his wife snatched away in the night, with his daughter covered in blood.

Attempting to flee, the merchant himself is snatched by the mysterious monster.

“I was meant to end up alone, wasn’t I? So I would finally begin to be afraid?” concludes Geralt.

Wither fans all around the internet are suggesting that this may hint the scene is setting up one of Andrzej Sapkowski’s best Witcher short stories:  “A Grain of Truth” (which was the third story in “The Last Wish” – the first book in The Witcher series).

We won’t spoil the potential storyline here, but it has all the potential to be one of the best standalone narratives in the streaming series. Set in a manor house removed from society at large, “A Grain of Truth” is an unpredictable, labyrinthine tale that’ll make for great TV.

The show has been a huge success for Netflix and as a result of the series’ popularity, developer CD Projekt Red has seen an absolutely massive increase in sales of the game.

We recently heard that Thue Ersted Rasmussen, who was previously confirmed to be played Eskel in The Witcher, Season 2, has been recast thanks to scheduling conflicts.

The show has been also seemingly been renewed for a third Season.
