This week on Xbox is all about Star Wars! From Wednesday October 19th to Monday October 24th, Xbox is hosting a series of special events to celebrate all things Star Wars. All those signing in to their Xbox Live accounts and playing any Xbox game will receive a free trial of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and a unique customization content package.
Players can also appreciate exclusive and limited-time events. Monday October 23rd will give players the chance to join in a global in-game event in Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Players can relive one of the most beloved story arcs of all time – and challenge themselves to climb the leaderboards.
In addition to the Star Wars events, next week on Xbox promises a collection of upcoming titles. Rocket League – the global phenomenon linking soccer and driving – will receive a brand new XTRA point series on October 21st, hosting tournaments, challenges and other fun surprises.
On the same day, Xbox will also launch a new season to the popular Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War game. The multiplayer game mode has become an instant classic worldwide. Players will be given the opportunity to experience more high-skilled and tactical matches, complete with two new 6v6 game modes and two new Gunfight maps.
Furthermore, starting October 22nd, the Journey Collection will be available on Xbox. This includes the critically-acclaimed titles Journey, Flower and flOw, developed by thatgamecompany. These classic indie titles offer an immersive gaming experience – beautiful visuals and soothing soundtracks.
Finally, on the 23rd the legendary game of classic strategy – Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 – will receive a new expansion pack: Civ 6: Gathering Storm. Players must confront the global environment and natural disasters such as floods, fierce storms, climate change and nuke leaks, and have to step up with new strategies and diplomacy in order to survive.
All of these special events and upcoming titles on Xbox collections are sure to make this a week to remember – just in time to celebrate Star Wars. With so many new games, events and experiences, there is something for everyone this week on Xbox.
