Xenoblade Chronicles 3 moves its release date forward to July 29
Nintendo has announced a pleasant surprise, in that it’s now releasing upcoming RPG sequel Xenoblade Chronicles 3 two months early.
The company originally announced the game would be coming in September during its reveal back in February. However, Monolithsoft’s adventure will now be launching on July 29, and there’s a new trailer to celebrate. Said trailer includes a look at the game’s dynamic battle system, gives fans some more story info and more.
To catch you up, the new game takes place on the new world of Aionios where the Keves and Agnus factions are fighting over magic and technology. Like with previous outings, you’ll engage battles by facing foes directly in the overworld. You’ll have six characters in your party, with each member having their own strengths and weaknesses.
Not only will you be able to customise these characters by changing their class, but specific pairs of characters can tag-team up. If they do so, they transform into a powerful giant form, known as an Ouroboros. These Ouroboros forms also have unique movesets, so deciding the best time to transform will become a key battle strategy.
You can check out the new trailer for yourself down below. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will now arrive exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 29.
